I appreciate everyone who took time to help me. I'm still not sure what the Services tab is in Sys Config, but I can do more research and figure that out. I also set a system restore point before I start. I have 42 processes running and most say something about Microsoft. I have disabled one or two things at a time and rebooted each time to make sure I don't need the programs. After I couldn't boot up for days because I disabled something that I shouldn't I have learned my lesson about being very careful. I also tried to explain that I've gone to a number of reputable sites which discussed what processes are not essential. I have found some on google and I have the impression that some are Microsoft processes which I have no access to, other than through the task manager but I'll do my best to find them elsewhere on my computer. Unfortunately some of them are impossible for me to find, as my little search dog comes up with nothing when I search for them. 2: To see a list of processes that are running on your computer, click processes. Alternatively you can press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to directly open task manager. 1: Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and then choose Task Manager. I did understand what you were saying about going to the program and going to properties. What should be running in the background of my computer Using Task Manager.
